PORT TOWNSEND — Habitat for Humanity of East Jefferson County has begun accepting homebuyer applications online.
Prospective homebuyers can apply to the nonprofit’s affordable homeownership program at www.habitatejc.org/homes.
Paper applications are still available from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays at the Habitat office, 2002 W. Sims Way, Port Townsend, for those who prefer the printed version.
“This is about more than housing,” said Jamie Maciejewski, habitat’s executive director. “It’s about creating stability, opportunity and a sense of belonging. We’re committed to making the path to homeownership more accessible for people in our community.”
Since its founding in 1998, Habitat for Humanity of East Jefferson County has built more than 70 houses and currently has six more under construction, the organization said.
