SEQUIM — School leaders picked a new principal for Greywolf Elementary School and reviewed district summer school plans Monday evening.
School Board members unanimously approved a recommendation to hire Patricia Grenquist to take the reins at Greywolf after current principal Dan Estvold retires at the end of the school year.
Grenquist comes to Sequim from Suquamish Elementary School in the North Kitsap School District, where she worked as an academic skills interventionist and administrative intern since 2003.
Before that, she was a teacher at Breidablik Elementary, also in the North Kitsap district, for 13 years.
She is past president of the Washington Education Association’s Olympic Council and the North Kitsap Education Association.
Grenquist emerged from a field of 26 applicants for the position.
