PORT ANGELES — Contractor crews working for the state Department of Transportation will set girders for a new bridge over Ennis Creek beginning Tuesday.
Drivers will see overnight lane closures on U.S. Highway 101 in both directions from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. from Tuesday evening through Friday morning between Del Guzzi Drive and Brook Avenue, WSDOT said.
All four lanes of Highway 101 will remain open during daytime hours throughout construction, WSDOT said.
Once the girders have been placed, crews are expected to complete the eastbound portion of the new bridge this fall.
Once the eastbound bridge is complete, traffic will be diverted onto it so that construction can begin for the westbound part of the bridge, said WSDOT.
The work is weather-dependent and could be rescheduled.
