FORKS — Todd Fraker, a coach of the Forks High School varsity football team for the past 10 years, has been relieved of his coaching duties after he admitted to pushing a student to the ground twice during football practice in August.
The Quillayute Valley School Board voted 3-2 on Oct. 18 to relieve Fraker of his coaching duties with the football and girl’s basketball teams.
Fraker was head coach of the football team for the past two seasons, but had voluntarily reassumed the role of assistant coach this season.
The termination of Fraker’s coaching contracts worth about $3,500 came after he made the admission, said Frank Walter, Quillayute Valley School District superintendent.
Fraker will continue teaching social studies, English and physical education at the Forks Alternative School.
He has been employed with the district for about five years, most of them as a substitute.
