Meetings across North Olympic Peninsula

The boards of local government agencies will meet next week on the North Olympic Peninsula.

Clallam County

The three Clallam County commissioners will conduct a public hearing regarding the 2023 general purpose, road fund and conservation futures property tax levies in their weekly business meeting Tuesday.

They also will consider a resolution adopting reallocation of American Rescue Plan Act money.

The commissioners’ work session, at 9 a.m. Monday, will preview items set for action at their formal meeting, which starts at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

The commissioners also will meet at 1 p.m. Monday with the Department of Natural Resources for a report on third quarter income.

The hybrid meetings are in the county commissioners meeting room in the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.

• A resolution adopting the 2023 road construction program.

• A resolution approving several debatable budget emergencies.

• A discussion regarding $10,000 in annual dues to Robert K. Weidner of Chartwell Enterprises Inc. for lobby work in Washington, D.C.

• An amended agreement for solid waste management.

• An agreement with the Cris and Orren Barber for a 60-foot right-of-way along Hoko-Ozette Road that goes through their property.

• Several resolutions appointing members to various boards and commisssions.

Jefferson County

The three Jefferson County commissioners will hear an update on Olympic National Park’s Enchanted Valley Chalet from park superintendent Sula Jacobs when they meet at 9 a.m. Monday.

The hybrid meeting is at the commissioners chambers in the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson Street, Port Townsend.

The commissioners will conduct a workshop regarding forest management options at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Jefferson County Library, 620 Cedar Ave., Port Hadlock.

The commissioners will hear a Department of Natural Resources report on third quarter county income from Mona Griswold and Drew Rosanbalm and will conduct a workshop on the AudioEye web platform.

Items on the consent agenda include an agreement with the state Office of Public Defense for $19,321 to improve the quality of defense services, an agreement with Fredrickson Electric for $269,465.02 for electrical and backup upgrade for the critical information technology server room and the cancellation of the commissioners previously scheduled Dec. 27 meeting.

Association of counties

The Washington State Association of Counties will hear a weekly update on COVID-19 when they meet at noon Monday.

Both Clallam and Jefferson counties will participate.

Port of PA

Port of Port Angeles commissioners will conduct an exit conference with the state auditor during a special meeting at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Clallam County Public Utility District commissioners will consider bid awards for several items of equipment when they meet at 1:30 p.m. Monday.
