Meetings across the North Olympic Peninsula

A transportation improvement program, a power sales contract and year-end budget amendments will be before Peninsula boards and commissions next week.

Clallam County Commissioners

The three Clallam County commissioners will hear an update on progress on the proposed six-year transportation improvement program during their weekly business meeting Tuesday.

The commissioners’ work session, at 9 a.m. Monday, will preview items set for action at their formal meeting, which will start at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

The commissioners will conduct budget discussions with the county administrator and various department heads during meetings on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

• A call for a public hearing at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 4 regarding proposed opportunity fund grants for the city of Forks’ Industrial Park.

• A call for bids for the Joint Public Safety Facility. Bids must be received no later than 2 p.m. Oct. 29.

• Agreement with the state Department of Ecology for $252,000 to fund the Clallam County Marine Resources Committee.

• A call for a public hearing at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 10 regarding proposed changes to Clallam County Code Title 33 Zoning and Title 21 Building and Construction, specifically related to RVs and park model placement.

• An interlocal agreement with the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe to provide high resolution topo-bathymetric data for the 209-mile coastline of Clallam County.

• A resolution appointing Lynne Kastner and Ben Pacheco to the Revenue Advisory Committee as representative and alternate representative of Clallam County Fire District 4.

• A resolution authorizing up to $1 million from the affordable housing sales and use tax fund for a 36-unit replacement facility for the 14-unit Sunbelt Apartment multifamily permanent supported housing facility in Sequim.

• Final approval of the 14-lot Portwood Vale subdivision, east of Bagley Creek, for Pakala LLC.

• A discussion regarding proposed budget revisions and supplemental appropriations to be considered Oct. 28.
