EYE ON THE PENINSULA: Clallam commissioners to discuss homeless plan

Meetings across the North Olympic Peninsula

A homeless response and housing plan, emergency shelter management and a six-year transportation improvement plan will be some of the items before Peninsula boards and commissions next week.

Clallam County Commissioners

The three Clallam County commissioners will conduct a public hearing regarding the 2025-2030 proposed Clallam County Homeless Crisis Response and Housing Plan during their weekly business meeting Tuesday.

The commissioners’ work session, at 9 a.m. Tuesday, will preview items set for action at their formal meeting, which will start at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

• A resolution designating Joe Donisi as the county’s agent for the 3 Crabs Road elevation project grant application.

• An agreement with the state Department of Fish and Wildlife for $434,905 to collect coastline and nearshore topobathymetric lidar data for the Strait of Juan de Fuca from Cape Flattery to Admiralty Inlet.

• Resolutions adopting budget revisions, reductions and supplemental appropriations.

• A contract with the state Department of Natural Resources for the county’s noxious weed control board to treat spotted jewelweed on the Upper Salmon Creek timber unit in eastern Clallam County.

• A call for bids until 10 a.m. June 24 for the Clallam Bay, Middlepoint and Snob Hill lift stations restoration project.

• A call for a public hearing at 10:30 a.m. June 10 regarding an ordinance amending Chapter 27.12 Critical Areas Part 5 – Frequently Flooded.

• A public hearing regarding debatable budget emergencies.
