Clallam County commissioners will discuss next steps for municipal stormwater permit coverage for the unincorporated Port Angeles Urban Growth Area when they meet at 9 a.m. Monday.
The work session will be in the commissioners’ board room (160) at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.
Other agenda items include:
• A contract with the state Military Department for reimbursement to Peninsula Communications for professional development costs.
• An agreement with the state Department of Social and Health Services Developmental Disabilities Administration to provide services for people with developmental disabilities.
• An agreement with the state Department of Social and Health Services for long-term payables or upfront funds.
• A call for Aug. 13 hearing on proposed changes to speed limits on Deer Park, Lotzgesell and Taylor Cutoff roads.
• Contract amendments with the state Department of Ecology for the Lower Dungeness floodplain restoration project.
• A review and call for hearing on mineral resource lands designations, policies and regulations.
Commissioners will conduct their regular business meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Action items include:
• A bid opening for a Carlsborg deep test well project.
• A resolution establishing an ad hoc committee regarding a Clallam County strategic tourism plan.
• A resolution reappointing Peter Craig to the Park and Recreation Advisory Board.
• A resolution reappointing Eric Adolphsen to the Noxious Weed Control Board.
• A resolution reappointing Patti Adler to the Clallam Bay/Sekiu Sewer Advisory Committee.
• A resolution dissolving the Animal Issues Advisory Committee.
• A call for Aug. 20 hearing on the proposed vacation of portions of Zaccardo and Chicken Coop roads.
Sequim city
The Sequim City Council will consider adopting a new chapter in the municipal code that amends rates and fees to include a special event permit fee when it meets at 6 p.m. Monday.
The council will meet in the Sequim Civic Center at 152 W. Cedar St.
A workshop at 5 p.m. will provide a financial report for the city, results of an employee engagement survey and an update on the Clallam County Economic Development Corp.
Two public hearings — on the Six-Year Transportation Improvement Plan and the Six-Year Capital Improvement Plan — have been rescheduled to Aug. 12.
The consent agenda will include reports on funding for the first six months of the Sequim unit of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula and the Shipley Center.
Forks city
The Forks City Council will hear a report on second-quarter building permits when it meets at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
The meeting will be at Forks City Hall, 500 E. Division St.
Other agenda items include a treasurer’s report and customary business.
Public Utility District
There will be no meeting of the Clallam County Public Utility District on Monday due to a lack of business items.
The next meeting is scheduled for Aug. 12.
Port of Port Angeles
The Port of Port Angeles meeting originally set for Tuesday has been canceled.
The next meeting is a joint gathering with county commissioners at 11 a.m. July 29.
