Clallam County commissioners will consider establishing the 2019 general purpose property tax and 2019 road fund property tax levies at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
The meeting will be in the commissioners’ board room (160) at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.
Other action items for the business meeting include:
• A contract amendment with Salish Behavioral Health Organization to amend allowable activities under a criminal justice treatment account.
• A collective bargaining agreement with the Clallam County Prosecuting Attorney and Clallam County Prosecutors’ Association.
• A supplemental agreement with the state Department of Transportation for the Black Diamond Road safety project.
• A resolution to continue the Clallam Bay/Sekiu Community Advisory Council through 2021.
• Approval of a form to acquire right of way from Rayonier Timberlands for the Olympic Discovery Trail between the A Road and the Calawah River.
• A public hearing for consideration of debatable budget emergencies.
Commissioners will conduct their weekly work session at 9 a.m. Monday to discuss items set for action in future meetings.
A quarterly income report from the state Board of Natural Resources is scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday.
Port of Port Angeles
Port of Port Angeles commissioners will hear presentations on a community partner program, Opportunity Zone convening and Pacific Marine Expo at 9 a.m. Monday.
The special meeting will be in the port headquarters building, 338 W. First St., Port Angeles.
After the work session, the commission will consider authorizing the sale of an abandoned vessel and a resolution re-establishing the incidental expense fund and advance travel expense account.
Sequim City Council
The Sequim City Council will conduct a final hearing on the proposed 2019 budget when it meets at 6 p.m. Monday.
The regular meeting at the Sequim Civic Center, 152 W. Cedar St., will be preceded by a workshop that will begin at 5 p.m.
At the workshop, council members will be given a legislative update by state Reps. Steve Tharinger and Mike Chapman and state Sen. Kevin Van De Wege, all of whom represent the 24th District, which includes Clallam and Jefferson counties and part of Grays Harbor County.
The council also will consider 2019 rates and fees, an interlcoal agreement with the Jamestown S’Kallam Tribe for wastewater disposal and hear an update on the John Wayne Marina.
Forks City Council
The Forks City Council will conduct public hearings on the 2019 budget and a countywide planning policy at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
The meeting will be at Forks City Hall, 500 E. Division St.
The council may adopt a budget and the Growth Management Act planning policies after the hearings.
Prior to the meeting, the council will hold a budget workshop at 5:30 p.m. Discussion will be on 2019 lodging tax applications and department requests.
Quillayute Valley
The Quillayute Valley School Board will consider a letter to the state Department of Natural Resources on the marbled murrelet plan when it meets at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The board will met at the library at the Forks Intermediate School, 121 S. Spartan Ave..
It also will consider the improvement plan for the Forks Intermediate School and a property tax increase.
Clallam County PUD
The Clallam County Public Utility District meeting for Monday has been canceled.
