EYE ON CLALLAM: County hearing on stormwater management set

The three Clallam County commissioners will conduct a public hearing on a new section in the county code concerning stormwater management at a meeting that will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

At Monday’s work session beginning at 9 a.m., commissioners will consider a revised agreement with Hope Food Bank for American Rescue Plan Act funds. They also will discuss the use of such funds for affordable housing/homeless support.

Association of counties

The Washington State Association of Counties will hear a weekly update on COVID-19 when they meet at noon Monday.

Both Clallam and Jefferson counties will participate.

Port Angeles city

The Port Angeles City Council will conduct a public hearing on stormwater, electric and water rates when it meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Another public hearing will deal with the closeout of a Community Development Block Grant for the Shore Metro Park District After School Childcare Program.

Port Angeles schools

The Port Angeles School Board will hear a presentation on Teacher of the Year when it meets at 7 p.m. Thursday. The board meets in Room 208 at the Lincoln Center, 905 W. Ninth St.

Sequim schools

The Sequim School Board will hear survey results and other information related to a superintendent search at 4:45 p.m. Monday before the regular meeting begins at 6 p.m.

Crescent school

The Crescent School Board in Joyce will consider a resolution recognizing the commitment of district staff to the community during the COVID-19 pandemic when it meets at 7 p.m. Friday.

Fire District 2

Clallam County Fire District No. 2 commissioners will consider a report on new injuries when they meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The advisory council for the Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary will focus on installation of an acting superintendent and the next steps in hiring a new sanctuary superintendent when it meets at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
