PORT ANGELES — An elderly man is missing following a structure fire Sunday night west of Port Angeles.
Crews from three fire agencies remained on the scene Monday of a fire that erupted Sunday night. The elderly man is the resident of the home in the 1000 block of Peters Road.
Clallam County Fire District 2 was called about 7 p.m. Sunday. Neighbors reported seeing black smoke from the double-wide trailer, according to a press release.
When firefighters arrived on the scene, they found the trailer fully engulfed in flames with no sign of the man.
Clallam County Fire District 4 and the Port Angeles Fire Department supplied mutual aid to douse the fire.
As of 11 a.m. Monday, crews were still on the scene after they spent the majority of the night and early morning hours searching for the man.
Family members on the scene said all of the occupant’s vehicles were accounted for and no one had been by to pick him up.
A fire investigator from Clallam County Fire District 3 was called to the scene.
