SEQUIM — The call to action at the top of the Web page: “Let ’em loose!”
And seeing all the dogs — and none of the leashes — on www.sequimdogparks.org is likely to give viewers the urge to shake off their shyness, gather and get to know one another.
That’s what’s happened within this Internet site’s first week of existence, said David Brown, the freelance Web designer who built it to rally support for an off-leash dog park in Sequim.
He and the World Wide Web have created a tail-wagging monster of a grass-roots movement — Sequim Dog Park Pals, a volunteer coalition determined to find a place to run free.
The Web site, with its “Romping for everyone” subtitle, dazzles.
It has verdant photographs, a friendly tone, a list of the benefits dogs and people enjoy when they meet in off-leash parks, a page about rules that keep parks harmonious, and a roundup of “doggie events,” among other links.
It has something for the offline crowd, a phone number for information: 360-683-1894.
