JOYCE — Crescent School District’s proposed maintenance and operations levy was failing by slightly more than 1 percent late Tuesday, leaving supporters waiting anxiously for the next ballot count.
Tuesday night’s ballot count in the all-mail election showed 367 votes, or 58.9 percent, supporting the levy, and 256 votes, 41.1 percent, opposing it.
“We’ll eagerly look at the count on Friday,” Crescent Superintendent Rich Wilson said. “There’s still an outside chance the levy will pass.”
