PORT LUDLOW — State Highway 19 was partially blocked for about four hours Saturday after a two-vehicle collision in Port Ludlow, the State Patrol said.
Dean R. Murray, 36, of Port Hadlock was driving southbound in a 2019 Dodge Durango when he pulled to the right shoulder and began to make a U-turn on the highway between Belfrage and Oak Bay roads, troopers said in a collision memo.
The Durango was struck by a 2013 GMC Acadia driven by April A. Thompson, 42, of Port Townsend, according to the State Patrol.
Both vehicles came to a rest in front of a private drive.
Thompson was traveling southbound when the crash occurred. She was passing the Durango with her signal activated when the Durango moved back into the highway, according to the State Patrol.
Murray, Thompson and a passenger in the GMC — Joyce E. Heaton, 64, of Port Townsend — were uninjured.
All three were wearing seatbelts, and drugs or alcohol were not involved, troopers said.
The collision was reported at 11:32 a.m. Saturday. The roadway was partially blocked for about four hours, the State Patrol said.
