PORT ANGELES — The Clallam County Democrats will host a series of candidate forums ahead of the August primary election.
The hybrid forums will be at the party’s headquarters, 124 W. First St., Suite A, Port Angeles.

The forums, which will start at 6 p.m., will provide an opportunity to meet candidates in the primary election and to ask questions and evaluate the candidates.
The scheduled forums are:
• Port Angeles City Council, positions 1 and 4, Monday.
Candidates for position 1 are Gilbert Hall, James Taylor and LaTrisha Suggs (incumbent); position 4 candidates are Ralph Davisson, Marolee “Mimi” Smith Dvorak and Kate Dexter (incumbent).
• Port Angeles School District 121, director position 1, July 23.
The school board candidates are Kim Butler, Ruth Repogle and Sarah Methner (incumbent).
Although Ned Hammer will appear on the ballot, he has dropped out of the race due to family reasons.
• Clallam County Public Hospital District No. 2, commissioner position 7, July 29.
Candidates for the Olympic Medical Center board of commissioners are Mic Sagar, Laurie Force and Penney Sanders (incumbent).
