Dan Engelbertson is officially Clallam County’s new administrator.
Following a Tuesday public hearing, Clallam County commissioners approved a two-year contract for Engelbertson.
Three other county department heads had applied for Clallam’s top administrative job.
Engelbertson, a 20-year veteran of the Clallam County Sheriff’s Department, will be paid $85,000 annually — $5,000 less than his predecessor — according to the approved contract.
Engelbertson currently earns $75,288 annually plus benefits, county Human Resources Director Marge Upham said.
