Chimacum High School officials are looking for the person responsible for lighting a plastic soap dispenser on fire just before 9 a.m. Thursday.
The small fire was quickly extinguished and damage was limited to less than $400 but the prank disrupted classes for an hour, Principal Tom Gallagher said.
Gallagher said a school counselor discovered the fire in the boys bathroom located near the High School Commons. The counselor quickly extinguished it.
Jefferson County Sheriff’s Sgt. Rick Smith said no suspects have been identified but that school officials and sheriff’s investigators will continue efforts to identify the culprit.
