PORT ANGELES — The Clallam County Sheriff’s Office Chain Gang picked up 100 pounds of roadside litter from 2 miles of Tumwater Truck Route, 200 pounds or roadside litter from 8 miles of Blue Mountain Road and 340 pounds of roadside litter from 11.4 miles of Quileute Road during the week of Dec. 30 to Jan. 3.
Crew members cleaned up 25 pounds of litter from an illegal dumpsite on Quileute Airport Road.
Crew members assisted the county Roads Division by brushing and chipping Agate Beach, Farrington and Lyre River roads.
So far this year, the chain gang has cleaned 27.8 miles of roadway, picked up 715 pounds of roadside litter and picked up 25 pounds of illegal dumpsite litter.
