BRINNON — Significant improvements to the Brinnon School — from the low-tech to the high-tech — were celebrated at a dedication ceremony Tuesday.
A new computer lab, with 16 work stations provided by a state grant, was unveiled in a ceremony that drew big-name officials including U.S. Rep. Norm Dicks, D-Bremerton, State Rep. Lynn Kessler, D-Hoquiam, and State Sen. Jim Hargrove, D-Hoquiam.
At the same time, the occasion was a chance for school officials to show off more than $180,000 in basic renovation work that has gone on at the school during the past year.
Thanks to a federal grant, classrooms now have hot water and basic upgrades will be made in bathrooms.
