SEQUIM — A construction project on U.S. Highway 101 east of Sequim wrapped up last week.
The new 185-foot bridge over Johnson Creek has been repaved and access to Whitefeather Way has been restored, the state Department of Transportation said.
The project to replace a culvert beneath the highway began last fall. Since then, access to the Olympic Discovery Trail and John Wayne Marina has been detoured along West Sequim Bay Road.
Driver can expect occasional overnight lane closures as crews finish permanent striping and install guardrails, WSDOT said.
