PORT ANGELES — Studium Generale will feature David Guterson at 12:30 p.m. Thursday in the Little Theater on the Peninsula College Port Angeles campus and via Zoom.
His free 45-minute lecture, “Why Write? The Purpose of Writing and Meaning,” in the theater at the campus, 1502 E. Laudridsen Blvd., will be followed by a question-and-answer session. Theater doors will open at 12:15 p.m.

Also, at 1:35 p.m. Thursday will be a screening of the 1999 film based on Guterson’s book, “Snow Falling on Cedars,” at the Little Theater. At 3:45 p.m., after the film, Guterson will speak. Masks are optional, at this time, for campus visitors.
Today at 10 a.m., Guterson will sign books in the PUB on the Port Angeles campus, thanks to community partner Port Book and News.
At 1:35 p.m. today, he will present at the Port Angeles High School library, 304 E. Park Ave., with facilitator Mark Valentine. Proof of vaccination will be required for community attendance.
