PORT ANGELES — The County Pro Bono Lawyers group will present a legal aid clinic, a free program offering legal advice for local residents with housing and/or eviction questions on Dec. 9.
Consultations will be offered in person in Port Angeles or by telephone.

Staff attorney Ted Howard will be available from noon to 3 p.m. to answer legal questions, direct people to local services that might be able to assist them and to explain the eviction process to them.
In addition, Clallam-Jefferson County Pro Bono Lawyers is now offering “on call” times to speak to an attorney about housing issues. Howard will be available for phone calls from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at 360-504-2422.
He also will offer limited appointments for housing issues only between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays in Port Angeles.
All other types of cases should be screened by contacting the CLEAR (Coordinated Legal Education And Referral) line at 888-201-1014 between 9:10 a.m. and 12:15 p.m., Monday through Friday. CLEAR is a toll-free telephone service for low-income people.
