According to parents.com, most infants begin teething between six and eight months of age, but it is possible for the process to start as early as three months. The bottom front teeth are usually the first to appear and it’s quite common for teeth to appear in pairs.

Some signs that your baby may be teething include: irritability or fussiness, biting (usually solid objects or their hand), loss of appetite, trouble sleeping and excessive drooling.

When teething, some babies can experience symptoms similar to illness, such as diarrhoea, runny nose and a low-grade fever. If these symptoms are due to teething they should pass within a few hours. If they persist, contact your doctor.
