The biggest night in Australian TV has come and gone for another year. Our best and brightest took to the red carpet in their Sunday best, including past Gold Logie winner Sonia Kruger.
The television presenter and her glam team created a “metallic Barbie meets Oscars glam” look for the red carpet, and then Sonia changed into a white strapless gown for the ceremony. But her sun-kissed, golden tan was her accessory for the evening.
What tan was Sonia wearing on the red carpet?
The Dancing With The Stars host was sporting her favourite Three Warriors face tan (usually $80, now on sale for $55 from Three Warriors), which Sonia revealed to bh was the reason she wakes up with the kind of effortless glow that looks like she’s had 8 hours of sleep, litres of water and a vacation.
“I got my spray tan last night, last minute, left it on for two hours, washed it off,” Sonia shared via Instagram. “Three Warriors looks super natural, always works.”
How long did it take her to get ready?
As for the rest of her glam? According to the television presenter, she and her glam team got up bright and early to put the entire look together, which took hours from start to finish.
“Makeup starts at 9am, but we start hair earlier,” she explained. “We start hair at 8.30am.”
How did her glam team create the look?
We peeped Natasha Denona’s Glam Face Palette ($111 from Sephora), Charlotte Tilbury’s Beautiful Skin Sun-Kissed Glow Bronzer ($90 from Charlotte Tilbury), and the Too Faced Born This Way The Natural Nudes Eye Shadow Palette ($94 from MECCA) in the makeup kit of Sonia’s makeup artist, Simone Forte.
Although, Norman Gonzales, Sonia’s hairstylist didn’t share the exact products he used on the television presenter, he was more than happy to reveal the inspiration for the look.
“We’re going for a really nice, cool, very relaxed, and just easy to wear vibe for the carpet,” he explained via Instagram.
“Normie has perfected beach hair,” Sonia added.

Don’t personally love the outfit. I think the two styles of side dangling bits and metallic front in this one dress clashes. I love the metallic bit though. That could have been one whole dress material on its own.

She is the youngest 60 year old woman I’ve ever seen. I can only hope to look nearly as good as her at that age. Loved her in Strictly Ballroom and she’s my favourite TV show host. Her beauty transcends from within, not just on the outside.
