Selena Gomez Emmy Awards 2025

Selena Gomez is obviously always equipped with a makeup bag full of Rare Beauty products, so when the brand founder hit the Emmy Awards red carpet this year we knew what we’d find in her makeup artist’s look breakdown.

But surprisingly makeup artist, Hung Vanngo, managed to sneak a few K-Beauty best-sellers into the Only Murders In The Building star’s skin prep routine. Plus, he even used a few of his new makeup products, which launched earlier this month, on the multi-hyphenate too.

Selena’s hairstylist, Renato Campora, styled the Rare Beauty founder’s strands with a slew of Kerasilk products that are actually on sale at Adore Beauty right now, and her nail artist, Tom Bachik, gave us the lowdown on a new neutral for our nail polish collection.

Ahead, her glam team break down every single product they used to create Selena’s 2025 Emmy Awards Look, including the ones sporting a serious discount.

Her Audrey Hepburn inspired ponytail

To start, Renato washed Selena’s hair with the KERASILK Volumizing Shampoo (usually $46, now on sale for $36.80 from Adore Beauty) to add volume and body, alongside the KERASILK Smoothing Conditioner (usually $46, now on sale for $36.80 from Adore Beauty) to smooth any frizz and deeply condition the hair.

After rinsing, he applied KERASILK’s Hydrating Essence (usually $50, now on sale for $40 from Adore Beauty) throughout the hair using a paddle brush — like this discounted one from Aveda (usually $37.95, now on sale for $33 from Beauty Amora) — to evenly distribute the product and gently massage the scalp.

He then sectioned the hair into large three-inch sections, and applied the KERASILK Liquid Cuticle Filler (usually $50, now on sale for $40 from Adore Beauty) and the KERASILK Smoothing Blow Dry Cream (usually $48, now on sale for $38.40 from Adore Beauty) from mid-length to the ends of the hair.

He then began blow drying each section using a lightweight hairdryer like Halo’s Elchim Jennifer 3900 Ionic-Ceramic Hair Dryer (usually $279.95, now on sale for $223.95 from Hairhouse) and a large ceramic round brush — like this affordable find from Curious Grace (usually $29.95, now on sale for $23.95 from Hairhouse) — lifting the roots upward to create volume and ensure a clean, polished nape for the ponytail.

Once each section dried, Campora lightly misted the KERASILK Texturizing Finishing Spray (usually $48, now on sale for $38.40 from Adore Beauty) at the roots to build grip. He repeated this process across the back of the head.

Once the back was fully prepped, Renato gathered the hair with a smoothing brush — like the Curious Grace Classic Boar Bristle Cushion Brush (usually $34.95, now on sale for $27.95 from Hairhouse) — and secured it into a high, snatched ponytail with an elastic.

He then blow dried the front and sides of the hair, directing the roots backwards for a sleek finish, while misting the roots with the KERASILK Texturizing Finishing Spray (usually $48, now on sale for $38.40 from Adore Beauty). He then smoothed the top with the KERASILK Taming Balm ($50 from Oz Hair & Beauty) for extra shine, and merged the front and side sections into the back ponytail using the smoothing brush, refining the shape and reinforcing that snatched look.

For the ponytail tail, the hairstylist divided it into four sections and curled each with a 25mm curling wand — like Remington’s 3-in-1 Multistyler Curl & Wave ($59.95 from Priceline) — pinning the curls and allowing them to cool.

Once set, he gently brushed through with the smoothing brush, then he finished with a light misting of the KERASILK Texturizing Finishing Spray (usually $48, now on sale for $38.40 from Adore Beauty) for body, followed by a touch more of the KERASILK Taming Balm ($50 from Oz Hair & Beauty) for shine and hold.

    Her warm soft glam makeup

To prep Selena’s skin, Hung Vanngo cleansed her face with the Mixsoon Centella Cleansing Foam (usually $25, now on sale for $15.95 from Lila Beauty). Then he balanced her complexion with the Mixsoon Centella Asiatica Toner (usually $19, now on sale for $14.30 from Lila Beauty), brightened her skin with the Mixsoon Bean Essence (usually $29.95, now on sale for $19.95 from Lila Beauty), and boosted hydration with the Mixsoon Bean Cream (usually $40, now on sale for $26.95 from Lila Beauty).

As for makeup, the makeup artist used a combination of the Rare Beauty Foundation ($59 from Sephora), Rare Beauty Positive Light Under Eye Brightener in ‘Light’ ($45 from Sephora), and the Rare Beauty True to Myself Tinted Pressed Finishing Powder in ‘Opal’ ($57 from Sephora) to create the perfect base.

Then he enhanced the beauty founder’s natural bone structure with the Rare Beauty Warm Wishes Effortless Bronzer Stick in ‘On The Horizon’ ($50 from Sephora) and the Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Contour in ‘Solace’ ($50 from Sephora). And reinvigorated her complexion with a touch of colour using the Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush in ‘Happy’ ($45 from Sephora) and the Rare Beauty Positive Light Silky Touch Highlighter in ‘Mesmerise’ ($48 from Sephora).

Hung groomed Selena’s perfect arches with the Rare Beauty Brow Harmony Flexible Lifting Gel ($34 from Sephora) and the Rare Beauty Brow Harmony Precision Brow Pencil in ‘Cool Brown’ ($34 from Sephora).

Then he amped up the volume of her natural lashes with a few coats of the Rare Beauty Perfect Strokes Universal Volumising Mascara ($39 from Sephora), and created a warm soft glam eye look with the Rare Beauty Perfect Strokes Gel Eyeliner in ‘Brown’ and ‘Black’ ($36 from Sephora) and his very own Hung Vanngo Beauty Color Story Eyeshadow Palette in ‘Wonderful Warm’ (not available in Australia).

To finish off the red carpet look, the makeup artist lined Selena’s lips with the Hung Vanngo Beauty Accentuating Longwear Lip Liner in ‘Create the Shape’ (not available in Australia), and then added a touch of natural rosey colour with the Hung Vanngo Beauty Creamy Matte Lipstick in ‘Wild Rose’ (not available in Australia).

    Her ‘sophisticated silk’ manicure

To prep Selena’s ‘Sophisticated Silk’ manicure, her nail artist, Tom Bachik, used his go-to manicure tools from Tweezerman: The Pushy ($34.08 from Big W), Rock Hard Cuticle Nippers ($69.95 from David Jones) and Pro File ($15.22 from Amazon Australia).

“I started with a single coat of CND’s Shellac base coat (usually $49.95, now on sale for $35 from Oz Nails Beauty Supply) and then I applied two even, thin coats of CND’s Shellac Gel Polish in ‘Silk Thread’ (usually $32.95, now on sale for $28.01 from Salon First),” he explained via Instagram. “We finished her look with CND’s Shellac No-Wipe Top Coat ($34.95 from Beautopia) and some Solar Oil ($17.95 from Beautopia) for that fresh youthful glow.”

    1. She has always looked wonderful.
I think shes a very strong and beautiful being.
The way she has handled her health battles and always remained classy shows her true strength.

    2. As she is maturing, she looks fantastic. She certainly has been through a lot so it’s lovely to see that she had finally found her true love. I’d love her eyebrows and jewellery.
