Scarlett Johansson’s face never looks anything less than stunning, whether she’s embracing a full face for a red carpet or a low-key look in her everyday life.

Her happy makeup look medium? Somewhere in between. Yep, when Scarlett does her own makeup, she likes a little bit of base but prefers to skip the foundation step, applying a lighter level of coverage instead.

Here are the exact products she likes for fresh, polished skin…

Scarlett Johansson’s Favourite Concealer

“I usually just use concealer”, Scarlett shared with Harper’s BAZAAR re: her aversion to foundation on her days off. “Dior has a really good one that is foundation-level quality.” She’s right: the Dior Backstage Face & Body Flash Perfector Concealer ($58 at Sephora) is fabulous.

As for her application process, it’s pretty simple. “I dab the concealer under my eyes and a little on my mouth and chin. Then I just blend out with a brush”, she explained.

There are times she wants a more full coverage finish, but when she does apply foundation, it always comes before concealer. “I actually used to think you put your concealer under your foundation, but it’s better over foundation”, she noted.

Scarlett Johansson’s Favourite Colour Corrector

Now, we know we swore it wasn’t *just* concealer. And it’s not – we told the truth! Scarlett swears by another product for perfecting her natural skin look.

“I also have been using a colour corrector—a game changer”, she confirmed. “I use the Charlotte Tilbury one.”

Based on our extensive research (AKA our in-depth knowledge of Charlotte Tilbury’s entire product offering), we would make an educated guess that Scarlett is reaching for the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Varnish in ‘Fair’ ($52 at Charlotte Tilbury).

Scarlett Johansson’s Makeup Journey

If you’re sitting there thinking ‘must be nice’, we totally get you. And actually, so does Scarlett. Makeup application hasn’t always been this easy for her.

“I had acne for such a long time that I had to be a skin care and makeup girl, because oftentimes I was peeling my skin off and then finding ways to cover my face up”, she confessed. “I got really good at concealing blemishes and that stuff. I used to use the Ben Nye Colour Corrector ($50 at Designer Makeup Tools) all of the time, but now that my skin is healthier, I get to enjoy makeup instead of wearing it like a mask.”

  1. I use tone up cream to even out base. Colour correcting takes too much brain space for me to figure out which is suitable unless I bake a pink powder underneath I guess. So much upkeep!

  2. anytime I hear about a great concealer I get excited because my skin is extremely tired looking and have bags under my eyes that are hard to cover but DIOR thats too much for me
