You know that near-debilitating feeling that hits around mid-morning on a Friday when the last five days suddenly catch up with you and you’re so tired your entire face feels like it’s drooping? I like to call it week-overload-itis, and yes, I’m currently suffering from it severely.
Apart from crawling under my desk for a half-hour nap (don’t think I haven’t actually considered doing it), or secretly winding the clocks forward five hours (don’t think I’d get away with that) my only other option is to get elbow-deep in beauty remedies.
First things first, I attempt to rehydrate and revitalise my flagging complexion with a spritz of Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray. Despite obviously knowing I’m about to inflict my face with burst of moisture, the action still shocks me (why does that always happen?), but at least the awakening process has begun.
Next on the agenda are my eyes, which seemed to have lost their sparkle somewhere between a couple of cocktails on Wednesday night and an all-day meeting on Thursday. Luckily I have a nifty pot of Ayurda Sparkle Eye Cream on hand for such emergencies and my peepers are soon back on the brightness track.

And finally – because sometimes you really have to call in the big guns – I make a quick and cheeky purchase on topshop.com, which instantly lifts my mood and gears me up for the next long week ahead. Now all I have to do is wait for the postman…
