The MAC Prep + Prime Beauty Balm SPF 35and MAC Prep + Prime Beauty Balm Compact SPF 30 are both lightly-tinted beauty balms that work to even out skin tone while giving skin a flawless finish.

The Trial Team members – who went in-store to be colour matched for this Trial Team – were incredibly pleased with both the Beauty Balm and the Beauty Balm Compact. Overall, they found that both products evened out their skin tone, while adding radiance and luminosity to their skin. Both products felt lightweight on their skin, with some members mentioning that the Compact felt more like a foundation while the tube of the Beauty Balm felt more like a moisturiser.

Members mentioned that the tube of the Beauty Balm felt more suitable for oilier skin (as it works to reduce shine) and the compact for drier skin.

The testers found that the coverage was buildable and lasted all day (some even found that the Beauty Balm stayed put during extreme heat) and most appreciated the fact that the products are great multitaskers as they prime skin, gives medium coverage and feature a high sun protection factor.

Members were also impressed by the huge shade range (available in nine shades) and commented on the excellent service they received in-store, finding the experience to be easy and enjoyable.
