There’s something you should know about us: we love Leslie Bibb. And even more than that, we love Leslie Bibb in blue eyeshadow.
Leslie’s time on The White Lotus turned us into lifetime fans of her, her work and of course, her immaculate beauty looks. Her acting (and her bob) impressed us that much.
And as if we didn’t already know she was a real one, Leslie just did something few have dared to do: she wore blue eyeshadow on the Emmys carpet.

We know we probably sound a tad dramatic, but bringing back sparkly blue eyeshadow is no easy feat, and so any attempt must be respected. And an attempt as successful as this one? It must be replicated.
Leslie’s makeup artist extraordinaire Rachel Goodwin was kind enough to share the inspo behind Leslie’s look, and we’re obsessed.
“I was inspired by the minimalist structure of her dress. I wanted her makeup to look like something you’d see on the runway” Rachel explained. “Radiant, transparent skin, elongated pewter lined eyes and stained lips. I wanted her makeup to be glamorous yet allow her natural beauty to shine.”
Mission accomplished! And the duo even brought back blue eyeshadow while they were at it…

The frosted blue shadow looks of the 80s aren’t involved here, of course. Leslie’s far too chic. Instead, Rachel used a subtle shimmer-spiked periwinkle eye tint to give her eyes stunning definition and the tiniest splash of colour. So pretty!
Rachel revealed via Instagram that her shadow of choice was the Giorgio Armani Liquid Eye Tint in ‘Blue Reflection’. It’s (unfortunately) a pretty hard to nab shade these days, but you can grab one for $79.95 at Cosmetics Now.
Or if you’re very quick, you could pick it up on sale for $60 at Strawberry Net right now. There are only a few left though, so speed is recommended if you want in on Leslie’s look.

We know it might seem like a lot to spend on a single shadow shade, but think of it this way. It’s subtle enough to work as an eye-defining alternative to black, but can be built up for a more colourful shadow look. Basically, it’s the only eyeshadow you need in your kit.
Let’s talk formula for a sec. Weightless? Check. Creamy? Check. Stays in place sans smudges or creases? Check and check.
Every time the cameras grabbed a shot of Leslie, her blue shadow was perfectly intact, and the Emmys are a long night. Worth the buy if you ask us.

Would you wear blue eyeshadow in this subtle way?
One can hardly tell that it is blue?
I agree, it looks silver to me.
It’s very subtle, I don’t think I would wear it though.
Blue is not for me, although that one is a pretty shade.
yes I agree
Love her look, but I’m still scarred by the 80s blue eye shadow.
It looks like blue purple
Blues, purples and green shades are lovely
You can barely see the eyeshadow but I like her look .
I love blue toned shadow when the wearer has blue eyes.
I wonder if navy-blue mascara is still available. It would accentuate this look
Oh yes that was an awesome colour
Oh yes I remember navy-blue mascara.
Lilac or lavender to me.
Blue is my favourite colour. I’d wear blue eyeshadow everyday if I could.
Yes I would
I love this look on her, but I’m not sure I could pull it off 😅
I don’t mind to wear blue.
I tried this years ago and it was not flattering on me.
Love the eye shadow colour
Doesnt really look blue to me either.
I wear blue eyeshadow. I refuse to follow any rules other than my own when it comes to makeup. Today im earing gold, orange and blue eyeshadow.
I used to wear a pale blue eye shadow alot when I was younger, think it was called Denim. Now I wear alot of earthy peachy beiges.
Earthy peachy beiges are my choice not as well.
So gorgeous
