How do you apply flawless red lipstick?
Look, we get it, red lipstick is one of the hardest beauty looks to master. So, when we say you’re not alone in your fears of a bold red lip, we really mean it. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t give it a go every so often!
Our top tips? First up, line your lips, it’s a god send for literally colouring within the lines. Secondly, blot. Yep, you’re going to want to get a tissue, fold it in half and gum it with your lips. Yes, we know, it’s a weird image but we swear it’s going to help solidify the colour once you’ve followed with another lick of lippy. And finally, keep q-tips and concealer on hand for any touch ups you might need!

I’m not really into reds, I’m more of a pink girl. But one of these days, out of pure curiosity, I’ll go and try on Ruby Woo.
A nice red lippy is such a quick and easy way to do your makeup instead of concentrating on the eyes, for me anyway.
The warmth in the Ulta3 one looks lovely but I don't wear reds because it doesn't suit my personality.

I prefer long-lasting lippies, especially for bold shades such as red, which I wear often. My faves are Maybelline Superstay, L’Oréal Infallible or Rimmel Provocalips. Rimmel Lasting Finish has better than average endurance, but I need to reapply it after a cuppa.

I was wearing a muted red from Violette_FR for most of last year and it was the first time I wore, and consistently wore a red shade. It was daunting but eventually I got used to it, and found myself reaching for the lipstick all the time. I think it comes down to the particular shade and formulation you pick.
