Sequim’s own BrokersGroup Real Estate Professionals celebrates 15 years!

‘Hey, we’re still here!’: This local business is ready to celebrate with the community

As a small, private and locally owned company, BrokersGroup Real Estate Professionals has always strived to be not only community-minded but community-present – regularly involving themselves in local events and non-profit efforts in their area. Some of the events they are involved with include the Soroptimist Garden Gala, Peninsula Air Affair, Music in the Park summer concert series, and the Sequim Farmers Market where they have had a presence for the last 10+ years.

However, the past two years have made this challenging as the community – like the rest of the world – navigated the challenges of the pandemic.

“People didn’t see us as much, but with things coming back to life, it’s a perfect time to tell the community that we’re still here!” says co-owner Kaylene Byrne.

This “tiny company” in a small town was first opened by three women in 2007. Deborah Norman, Hazel Ault and Kaylene Byrne each brought their years of experience and dedication to the company.

However, they opened just before the housing recession hit, and according to Byrne, they heard from others that it could go badly. “We were a local company that didn’t have a national brand. Despite being in a highly competitive industry, and with the recession, and now COVID, we’ve not only survived, we’ve thrived.”

Located in the heart of downtown Sequim, and serving communities of the Olympic Peninsula like Port Angeles, Gardiner, and Joyce, BrokersGroup Real Estate is proud to help people find homes in such a beautiful place – a sentiment reflected in their motto “Making it better for someone… every day.”

And while 15 years in business is certainly a reason to celebrate, building the connections they hold so dear is equally as important to the owners and brokers at this people-minded company.

Owners Kaylene Byrne and Deborah Norman are proud to celebrate 15 years serving the community.
