Weekend activities include massage event

There’s plenty to do on the North Olympic Peninsula this weekend, and the PDN has two features today to guide your activities.

From concerts to galleries, Peninsula Spotlight magazine with today’s PDN highlights events relating to the arts and entertainment this weekend.

And the column “Things to Do This Weekend,” found today on Page C6, adds other activities across the North Olympic Peninsula this weekend.

Featured in Spotlight are Jefferson Arts Alliance’s Sunday performance of “Interactions: Art and Art,” and George Snyder’s OlyJazz band performance tonight at Olympic Theatre Arts Center in Sequim.

Other things to do this weekend include:

* A Harvest Carnival will be held from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at Vern Burton Community Center in Port Angeles. Food, crafts, games, pi^pbatas, a silent auction and raffle items will be highlighted.

* A massage-a-thon will be held from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at Fitness West, 114 S. Lincoln St., Port Angeles.

In addition to finding out more information about the varieties of massage available on the North Olympic Peninsula, people can make a donation to help hurricane victims. For more information, call Lynn Keenan at 360-565-1199.

* The Food Bank Flea Market will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Eagles Annex, 110 Penn St., Port Angeles.

Admission to survey the household appliances, antiques, food, crafts and musical performers will be $2, or three food items.

The event benefits the Port Angeles Food Bank.

* The Port Angeles Community Players present “84, Charing Cross Road” at 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Port Angeles Community Playhouse, 1235 E. Lauridsen Blvd.

Admission is by donation for this second stage performance. For more information, call 360-452-6651.
