Summer’s end festival slated

PORT ANGELES — Port Angeles First United Methodist Church will host its third Summer’s End Festival from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 25.

The annual festival will be in the church’s event hall and on its west lawn at 110 E. Seventh St.

The festival, which is free and open to all ages, will feature free school supplies, concessions, a bouncy house, yard games, music and local circus performers, including fire and flow dancers.

Children 12 and younger should be accompanied by an adult.

“I’m thrilled to embark on a third year of youth and family fun with this classic community block party, which has been such a fun success over the past two years,” said Abby Bohman, the church’s director of communications. “This event is a celebration of summer and community, and a show of support for students and families heading back to school.”
