Supper and show

PORT ANGELES — The Peninsula Evangelical Friends Church will host “Movie and a Meal” at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Friends will serve homemade soup, bread, salad, rolls and homemade cookies at Agnew Hall, 1241 N. Barr Road.

During dinner the church will show the 2013 documentary “Flight: The Genius of Birds.”

This family-friendly film screening is free and open to the public.

Security training

PORT ANGELES — CorrValues Ministries will present a church security seminar from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m Friday, June 14 and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 15.

The scenario-based training will be conducted at the Independent Bible Church, 116 E. Ahlvers Road.

According to a press release, the training is oriented toward safety teams, ushers and greeters, children’s workers, church staff and volunteers.

Some of the topics to be covered include threat recognition, verbal de-escalation and suicide prevention.
