PORT TOWNSEND — David Brownell will guide a hike at the qatáy prairie and lagoon Saturday.
The hike is part of the History Hikes series co-sponsored by the North Olympic History Center and the Jefferson County Historical Society.
Brownell, the history center’s executive director, will lead the 90-minute hikes at 11 a.m. and again at 2 p.m.
The hikes will visit historically significant sites in East Jefferson County.
Future hikes in the series will visit Fort Flagler, Indian Island and Irondale Beach.
Each hike costs $60, $45 for history center or historical society members.
