PORT TOWNSEND — The Port Townsend Psychedelic Society will host the End Of Life, Deathcare and Psychedelics Symposium from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday.
The symposium is at the Palindrome, 1893 S. Jacob Miller Road.
After opening songs from the Threshold Choir, music by Andy Fischer-Price and introductions by the society’s End of Life and Psychedelics Subcommittee and from the Dying Matters Guild, there will be several speakers:
• “Psychedelics and End of Life Care: A Match Made in Heaven” from Dr. Corine de Boer.
• “Embracing Fear” from Rhonda Hull, an end-of-life planning facilitator.
• “How To Talk With Your Healthcare Provider” from Jackie Levin.
• “A Shifting Legal Climate: Progress, Risks and Practicalities” from Erin Reading, from the Port Townsend Psychedelic Society, and John Rapp, an entheogenic lawyer.
• “Deathcare and Psychedelic Peer Support Considerations” from Sarafina Landis, a death doula.
Suggested donation is $5-$20 per person; no one turned away for lack of funds, according to a society press release.
