A lecture on climate warming and travel, troll stories and a trivia night are planned Friday on the North Olympic Peninsula.

PORT ANGELES — Robert Larsen will present “Climate Warming and Travel: How Big a Deal Is It?” from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday.

Larsen will speak at the Port Angeles Senior and Community Center, 328 E. Seventh St.

The presentation kicks off the Olympic Discovery Trail’s 2020 Adventure Travel series.

Admission is free for this presentation.

Friday StoryNight

PORT TOWNSEND — The Quimper Storytelling Guild will host “Trolls: Reality, Myth, or Cultural Icon” from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday.

The event is part of the First Friday StoryNight series held at the Port Townsend Friends Meeting, 1841 Sheridan St.

This month’s featured storyteller is Barbara Fankhauser. Fankhauser will be followed by an open mic segment, which has a five-minute limit for each speaker.

iPod shuffle dance

PORT TOWNSEND — Jonathon Doyle will host iPod shuffle couples dancing from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday.

The dance will be at Quimper Grange, 1219 Corona St. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted.

Dance styles may include swing, cha-cha, waltz, foxtrot and salsa at the whim of the iPod. No partner is required.

Trivia on tap

CHIMACUM — Jefferson County Library will host a trivia night from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday.

The competition will be at Finnriver Farm & Cidery, 124 Center Road.

An extra point will be awarded to teams who present their library cards.

Attendees must be 21 or older.
