PORT TOWNSEND — The Rev. Cristi Chapman will preach at both the 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services Sunday.
Chapman, the Canon of the Ordinary for the Episcopal Diocese of Olympia, will preach at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1020 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.
Chapman will host discussions in the parish hall after each service to learn about St. Paul’s and to share news from across the diocese.
A canon to the ordinary is a senior priest who works directly for a diocesan ordinary, which is another name for the bishop.
As the canon, Chapman assists the bishop with congregational development, stewardship, cultivating leadership and clergy transitions.
