Bilingual book day set at Port Angeles, Sequim libraries

The North Olympic Library System will join hundreds of libraries across the nation in celebration of El día de los niños/El día de los libros (Children’s Day/Book Day) on Saturday.

Bilingual library programs will feature books, songs, crafts and games in both Spanish and English.

Program schedule

These programs will be at 10:30 a.m. at the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave., and 2 p.m. at the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St. All children in attendance will receive a free book.

Wide range of books available

The library system, which also oversees public libraries in Forks and Clallam Bay, has a wide range of books for all ages available in Spanish.

Can make book requests

Also, patrons can request books in other languages from libraries around the country through the inter-library loan service.
