On June 11, two people came to my home uninvited.
They claimed to be volunteers for an organization called the Washington Voter Project and wished to confirm the legality of registered voters.
They were armed with records of our totally legal political contributions, and challenged them based on the claim that most of our neighbors supported the other major party.
When asked the identity of the organization behind their work, they failed to do so.
When asked the political allegiance of that organization, they did not do so.
When asked to leave, they did not do so.
When told to leave immediately, as they were trespassing, they first refused to leave and then slunk out like sullen teens caught with cigarettes.
Whether they were volunteers or not I cannot confirm, but clearly they are using publicly available information, voter registration and records of contributions, to support a partisan goal.
This organization is beneath contempt, as is the behavior of these volunteers.
