We here in Port Angeles will say, “What has Afghanistan got to do with us?”
Our federal government threw away $85 billion on this country and now has nothing to show for it; a complete and total waste.
The Afghans asked us to disarm the warlords who were oppressing them, but we did not.
It is a nation that is 99 percent Muslim, but we sent in Christian troops and backed a corrupt government.
So, naturally, the puppet army we set up just faded away.
Shades of Vietnam, another screw-up, another horrendously expensive defeat.
