Dylan Quarles is the best candidate for Port Townsend City Council, position 1.
His willingness to engage and understand contrary positions will fit well with the dynamics of our current council.
In these contentious times, he will work to study the issues, engage with staff and the public, and do what is needed for all of us without being controlled by single-issue or misinformed members of the public.
Dylan is thoughtful and eloquent. His broad range of experience post-college includes being a published author, managing a broad portfolio of properties for a large mental health nonprofit, and teaching internationally and locally.
He will bring that experience to issues of affordable housing, infrastructure, economic development and protection of our open spaces. He listens to all sides of the broad and conflicting range of opinions in our community, not just those he might agree with. He will make decisions based on facts.
He is unafraid of calling an issue a distraction when it brings nothing to the table for the majority of our community.
Dylan is a son of Port Townsend, with family connections in marine trades and public health. He knows our issues, especially those for young families and elders on fixed incomes trying to stay in our community.
Our city has many problems to solve and many opinions to resolve, so don’t let the distracting noise turn you into a single-issue voter.
Let’s elect the best candidate for Port Townsend City Council, Dylan Quarles.
