President Donald Trump is getting dangerously irrational and treasonous. He rules predominantly outside the U.S. Constitution and law.
The mortal danger is that Trump would declare martial law or invoke the Insurrection Act to use military force against American citizens.
It could be sparked by a few misguided police converting fully constitutional, peaceable assemblies into full-blown illegal police riots.
Trump could use this opportunity to impose military law against the American people to quell manufactured riots.
“Levying war against the United States” is the very definition of treason in the U.S. Constitution.
There are other paths to martial law.
First, Trump’s arbitrary and malicious firing of up to 100,000 federal employees, so far, is already causing public concern about adverse economic, social, health, education, veterans’ care and other effects.
People will soon realize that wage cuts from these job losses alone will pay for Trump’s proposed $4.6 trillion billionaire tax cut.
Second, Trump knowingly declared aggressive economic war against America and friends and foes alike.
Trade wars usually cause inflation, recession, political upheaval, chaos and, yes, even martial law.
A U.S. military dictatorship is no longer unthinkable.
Remember this: Random firing of federal employees, world economic war and threats of U.S. aggression against Canada, Mexico, Greenland, Panama and Gaza were all once thought completely unthinkable. No more.
Let’s initiate immediately impeachment or indictment proceedings for Trump, Musk and their billionaire accomplices.
At the rate unconstitutional and illegal acts are occurring, we need to be prepared for anything.
