How dare House Speaker Mike Johnson refer to the No Kings protest as a “hate America rally.”
I am not anti-American; I love America. That is why I joined the Oct. 18 rally.
We protested because this administration is eroding things we hold dear, such as freedom of the press, freedom of speech and due process. We are concerned about cuts to education and health care, anti-immigration tactics and a disregard for the Constitution.
Because we love America, we cannot be silent.
A sign at the protest summed it up. It said, “We are not radical. We just remember history.”
