I was recently a patient at Olympic Memorial Hospital for four days, and I was so impressed with every employee I had contact with, from the doctors to the nurses, the food service personnel, even the custodians were, to a person, professional, competent, knowledgeable and, most of all, kind.
Each and every one of them made an unpleasant experience tolerable, and even pleasant.
We are blessed to have the equality of care in our small community and should not take it for granted.
