Well, friends, it’s officially autumn.
We don’t know about you, but we’re kind of freaked out that time appears to be moving at the speed of light (seriously, how is it almost April already?), so we’re trying to distract ourselves with all the new skin care and makeup on offer right now. As well as, familiarising ourselves with all the latest hair trends.
In saying that though, its very clear that decision fatigue has impacted the global trend forecast machine’s ability to imagine anything ‘new’, in the truest sense of the word. So if you spot a hair trend this year, and think you’re experiencing deja vu, don’t worry — you’re not alone. We did spend the earlier part of this year telling you to try a bob, or a fringe, or a bob with a fringe after all. However, that’s not to say the trends we’re revisiting are boring, if anything they’re a comfortingly familiar and happy reminder of simpler times.
Take the ‘Biscoff Bronde’ trend for example, which is inspired by Jenifer Aniston’s warm-toned, ‘not quite blonde but not quite brunette’ hair colour from the late ’90s. According to the founder of Sydney’s Que Salon, Monique McMahon, we’re going to be seeing a lot more of these warmer tones throughout Autumn.

The Top 5 Autumn Hair Colour Trends
“As the healthy hair trend continues to take over, the warm tones are here to stay,” says Monique. “Warm tones reflect light and health from every angle, you just can’t compete with the gloss you visibly see in a warm and rich-toned hair colour.”
“Right now, my top five trend predictions are ‘Biscoff Bronde’ (think: Jennifer Aniston from Friends) — the [Wella Professionals] Color Touch Bronze collection has the perfect amount of warm and cool tones delivering the perfect ‘Biscoff Bronde‘ you’ve ever seen — ‘Rose Gold Brondes‘, ‘Whiskey Brunettes‘, ‘Golden Glass‘, and ‘Global Honey Blonde‘,” she tells beautyheaven.
“There have been a few colour trends drop off this season, but the biggest fall out has been the ‘Bitter Chocolate‘ trend,” Monique explains. “This is making way for the ‘Chestnut Chocolate’, ‘Mocha Chocolates’ and ‘Whisky Brunettes’.”
In-Salon Treatments To Invest In
This wave of warmth has really taken over trend-wise, potentially because of these warm undertones’ ability to amplify the natural shine of the hair, she says. However, to achieve that ‘Golden Glass’ finish, Monique recommends investing in a specific in-salon treatment.
“I always find the hair a little brittle and dull in the cooler months so opting for extra hydration and nourishment is critical. The Shinefinity in-salon glazing treatment from Wella Professionals is great to add a lasting shine,” she explains.
At-Home Colour Care Products To Try
When it comes to taking care of your fresh hair colour at home, Monique recommends hard-working products that emulate in salon treatments — “think: products that work hard for you.”
“Wella Professionals has just brought out the Ultimate Repair Night Serum ($38 from Adore Beauty). Yes, finally we can repair our hair, whilst we sleep! This is the one you need to bring life back to your hair,” she explains. “I’m actually using this on all my clients as a leave-in treatment before I blow-dry too.”

“This next one is a sneak peek. But I’ve been lucky enough to bring some product with me from Berlin. I worked on the global campaign [for] Wella Professionals Ultimate Smooth Miracle Oil Serum,” Monique divulges. It launches in Sephora in April, however, it’s already hit shelves in the UK. So add it to your next ASOS order — Wella Professionals Ultimate Smooth Miracle Oil Serum ($46 from ASOS).
“This nourishing hair oil is designed to create smoothness that lasts up to three days,” Monique tells us. “It contains squalane, and omega-9. Offers protection from UV light and heat. This leaves the hair so glossy and lightweight, which everyone is going to love.”

According to Monique, squalane and omega-9 are the secret to smooth and deeply nourished hair. These two ingredients are actually the heroes of the new Wella Professionals Ultimate Smooth Mask ($33 from ASOS). Which (surprise) will also be launching in Sephora in April.
The mask can be used as a conditioner on those really brittle hair days, for a long-lasting smooth feel, she says.

Are you going to be changing your hair colour this autumn?
Lots of spam here!
I’ve reported it.
I was already grey in my twenties! Lucky you!
I’m sticking to my black hair but no fringe because it is less maintenance.
I don't know why people feel the need to change their hair with seasons, a sunkissed look for summer is nice, but if you have found the right colour then you will look good all year round.
Nice to have a new look though
Love the smoky beige!
I love the smokey beige but my hair is dark and I'm not sure how it would look that colour.
I've reported the spam.
For myself I would choose smokey beige, but must admit that the others are great as well and wish I had the courage to try them on myself
