If you can walk into the supermarket and pick up a deodorant at random without worrying if it’ll end up in a bad reaction, count your blessings – we aren’t all so lucky.
When you have sensitive skin, picking a deodorant feels like a game of russian roulette, and the wrong choice can have you scratching at your pits for hours, or give you a nasty rash that leaves you uncomfortable for days on end.
Aluminim-heavy, chemically fragranced formulas are common culprits of these kind of reactions, so it’s best to look for more gentle formulations that will keep you smelling fresh without irritating your skin.
But no need to sweat it, we’ve rounded up 10 of our favourite deodorants that shouldn’t irritate sensitive skin.

Oooh I would love to try the Sebamed brand one.
Thankfully I am one of the lucky ones who can walk into the supermarket and pick up any deodorant I like without having to worry about having a bad reaction. But……my favourite one has just been discontinued. Booooo! I have used the Mitchum in the past and liked it. Might try it again.
I don't seem to have sensitivity issues with deodorants, thankfully
I can vouch that Mitchum and Nivea Sensitive really work. I didn't have good results with the QV or Redwin, but I'm a big sweater! Interested in trying Sebamed and Dermal Therapy. Clarins and Kiehls are luxe but pricey.
I am going to admit something really embarrassing – I don’t wear deodorant.
These are great but I do love to hear some vegan brands
I seem to be able to use any deodorant and have never had a problem with sensitivity.
As long as it is Aluminium free I am good and will use it.
I like the Mitchum and Nivea deordorants.
I use a mitchum unscented roll on.
Like to use Rexona deodorants but have tried Nivea as well just like them to work.
I like the Sebamed deodorant. It has a nice, refreshing scent to it.
I've used some of these – all good. At the moment I'm using the Dove roll on I received from November's RR and it is working very well.
I don't use deodorant. People are usually surprised to learn that.
I have just used the Mitchem and Nivea deodorants mentioned.
My underarms are very sensitive, it tends to burn a lot no matter what deodorant I use
Lavanila, Kopari, Corpus Naturals… Tarte is also pretty good but not as effective as the others for me. Fresh makes a deodorant that seemed like it was going to be good but caused a lot of irritation for me. Individual experience varies greatly so it's worth trying a few to see which works best for you.
Well i had no idea that sebamed put out a deodorant.
I prefer a solid twist-up stick deodrant and can't be bothered with other formulas. Thankfully, I don't suffer from sensitivity.
Ooooh I love the sound of the Lowengrip but wow its pricey!
I have been trying to use natural deodorants for the past 12 months or so. Sadly, I just can't find one that I'm comfortable with, so I'm back on the Rexona. I'd like to give the mitchum one a try next though.
Some lovely looking deo's to try
Mitchum is without a doubt my favorite deodorant.
Im the same. Really don't need to.
I didnt know QV had a deodorant. I would like to try it.
Men's Mitchum has been my go-to for years.
Hate it when your favourite products get discontinued.
I've just received a Black Chicken Axilla one which is made for sensitive skin – looking forward to trying it (it's a sample sachet that I got with a beauty order).
I have used the Mitchum and Nivea deodorants, good products, great brands.
I can recommend the Nivea sensitive . I have tried so many that claim to be for sensitive skin. Nivea is the best.
I am okay with deodorant. Not okay with fragrance in washing powders!
I haven't tried any of these apart from the crystal deodorant but these all look like good options.
Luckily, I don't have sensitive skin, but I used to experience a sting when I applied deodorant after shaving. Epilating reduced that, but now that I've had IPL, it's not an issue at all.
I've marked Adrianna55, a couple of posts below as spam.
I would like to know whether anyone has used armpit detoxes prior to changing to a natural sensitive deodorant?
I prefer to use a different brand that is bicarbonate free too , I’ve tried different brands but it didn’t last long on me
Mitchum or dermal therapy are winners
I seem to be OK with deodorant. I use the Nivea one, and don’t have any problems.
Good to see that there are roll on options.
