Which Colors Instantly Boost Your Confidence?

I’ve noticed that certain colors in my wardrobe or makeup instantly make me feel more confident and energized. Sometimes it’s a bold lipstick, other times a specific top or dress.

I’m curious — do you have “power colors” you always turn to when you want to feel amazing? How do you decide what shades to wear on different days or occasions?

I find red and black combined is good to boost my confidence depending on what I am doing.

I had a dream of putting on red lipstick last night and I felt amazing! I never wear red lipstick though!! I had minimal eye make-up on in my dream and I felt like it was a good balanced sort of a look for me.

I have recently picked out a red dress to wear to a wedding and I was doubting myself thinking that atleast I could return it if it looked too much when it arrived (I ordered it online). I think it’s coming tomorrow so I’ll see how I feel about it when I try it on. I love the way red makes me feel but I have a shy side to me that is just part of my personality. I usually tend to avoid being noticed, by nature, so I’m not sure if I’ll wear this red dress but if I do I think I will want to match it a bit and wear a red lippy if I end up wearing it! Omg

I have been told yellow suits me. I do like bold greens and navy I think looks smart on me. Anything pale makes me look really washed out.

No I don’t. None have the power to boost my confidence. I don’t consider that a bad thing though.

For me it’s not just one colour but a family of colours that suit my colouring and natural contrast level.

Interestingly I’ve been reading up a lot about personal colour analysis, and it has explained why certain colours just work better on certain people. Saturated/bold colours can work better on those with clear/deep/higher contrast features, but they can overwhelm those belonging to a softer/muted colour season.

There’s a lot of information out there, but personally I’ve found [this website](https://yourcolorstyle.com/pages/3-steps-to-discovering-your-best-colors) to be the most useful.

Red. I wear red heels frequently.

Otherwise, I have been told cobalt blue and light blue are my other colours.

Red is really my primary colour though. I get complimented by men and women when I wear red.

I am a pink girly, but I have to admit, I always feel super confident when I wear head to toe black.

I’m curious about what country you’re posting from, @Julia90, because your spelling is American.

I wear red so often that I regularly do full red loads in the washing machine, haha!

I feel confident in black too, so I usually wear a black top & a bold coloured print skirt, or a bright top with a black skirt. I love the comfort of skirts, so I wear them almost daily, even at home.
