The Cost of your Brazilian Wax Experience

Hmm, so I just went for a very very no-frills experience the other day, and because I’d seen some higher numbers at sites online, was wondering how much you girls pay for your Brazilian.

I paid a cool $28 for a very fast (half an hour?) yet professional, though not altogether-hygienic, I suspect, experience. The lady didn’t talk through it, but I didn’t really mind. XD My first go, but I really don’t need to be reassured or apologised to.

I’d seen the beauty place around my neighbourhood a few times, and decided on a whim to go last weekend. Took two panadol about an hour before it. Keep in mind that I have done at-home attempted Brazilian waxing before, and this is SO much better. For one, I just can’t seem to pull decidedly on my own hair; feels too much like wrenching them out. Another person doing it, though, is fine. XD Was a bit worried about redness after since it was my first pro wax, but there was no redness and only a little itching; I put a cold cloth on for a bit after I got home, then I was fine and ready to go to Luna Park in the afternoon. 😀

hey everyone, my name is melissa and im a beauty therapist. most places are around $40 for the first time then $30 i would advise not to wax down there because its extreamly easy to bruse if you dont know what you are doing. $28 is very cheap but they way use cheap wax and not brazillian wax or they may have had a special on

Oh I was like you Dimples! The first time I did, it hurt so much I did cry! Well my eyes were welling up with tears something fierce. The second time, I got my boyfriend to help, and I kept screaming everytime he pulled a strip off, so that put him off after 4-5 goes! Lol.
But I just kept trying and I think it was after about a few months I got quicker and wasn`t so bad. I mean, it`s not the best feeling in the world to get waxed, but definitely not the worst either. I would say just keep trying. Also are you doing it right? I mean, are you keeping the strips close to the skin, not pulling it up, but rather pararell to the skin? I find if you put an icepack to the skin prior to putting the wax on, “”numbs”” it so it decreases the pain abit.

Aryanny, you are more clever and braver than me! I cannot do my own waxing! I tried twice and ended up bruised and crying. I can manage the bikini lines bits ok, as they`re fairly sparsley haired, and when I travelled I used those strips that you heat up in your hands. But as for the other bits…I just can`t co-ordinate it!
