Redken – love their products – love their customer service!
I felt this needed a topic of its own. I have been a Redken fan for years – I’ve had several hairdressers use the products on me, and I recently made the switch to using Redken products at home too.
I currently use and love the Blonde Glam shampoo, All Soft Conditioner, Extreme Anti-Snap treatment and Blonde Glam Pure Pearl treatment mask. My hairdresser also uses some other products on my hair when I’m at the salon.
Anyway – a few weeks ago I was looking at Redken products online and decided I liked the sound of the Smooth Down Detangling Cream – as I have long hair that tangles easily – and this is supposed to help keep it untangled and smooth. So I went to my local Price Attack and bought it. However I had shocking results with it. The first night I used it, I used it after putting some anti-snap through my hair (as I use my smoothing serum after the anti-snap with no problems) but it just made my hair really sticky and kind of tacky. So I tried again without the anti-snap – same result – and tried one last time using the tiniest amount ever – same result.
So I went back to Price Attack to talk to them – however they were completely unhelpful and told me there was nothing they could do, as Redken swear by their products and never give them returns, so that was it, according to them.
However a couple of friends convinced me to still contact Redken about it. I thought it would be a total dead end – but thought I may as well try. So yesterday afternoon I sent an email through to Redken – basically saying exactly what I’ve said above – that I used and love many Redken products, but I was sadly disappointed by this one product.
I got a response back this morning! So major thumbs up for the quick response first up. Secondly, they profusely apologised for my discontent with the product, and have asked for my address to send out some products to me to make up for it!
I’m over the moon – I never expected this result at all – so I have to say – I think Redken are awesome – awesome products – and awesome customer service! You can’t get better than that!
So who else out there is a Redken fan? 🙂
